You will mentor a young and growing leadership team, strengthen operational discipline, and help shape the long-term performance of 65% of Brookfield's Canadian operations.

Key Responsibilities :

  • People & Team Development : Lead and mentor a high-potential team of directors and operational staff, including engineers and project managers. Strengthen leadership capacity, foster collaboration, and drive accountability across teams.
  • Operational Excellence : Oversee the operation and maintenance of wind farms (Windsor & Sault Ste. Marie), hydroelectric assets (Sault Ste. Marie, Wawa, Thessalon, Hearst), and a solar facility in Alberta (contracted operations).
  • HSS&E Stewardship : Ensure full compliance with Brookfield’s Health, Safety, Security & Environmental standards and foster a proactive safety culture at all levels.

  • Continuous Improvement : Drive a culture of innovation and operational efficiency, identifying and implementing process and technology improvements.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Engineering background (mechanical, electrical, or civil preferred); P.Eng not required but practical field experience is essential.
  • Strong track record managing unionized environments and geographically dispersed teams.
  • Demonstrated financial acumen and ability to manage P&L responsibilities.
  • Experience working respectfully and collaboratively with Indigenous communities.
  • A hands-on, decisive, and inspiring leader with a passion for mentoring and team development.
  • MBA or equivalent business experience is a strong asset.
  • Deep roots or a long-term commitment to Northern Ontario are highly valued.

What Will Make You Stand Out
