The VP, Customer Solutions & Operations will play a pivotal role in driving Thomson Reuters' growth and transformation within the legal industry. This role requires a strategic leader with deep expertise in legal technology and AI, who can effectively engage with customers, lead cross-functional teams globally, and drive industry thought leadership.

About the Role

In this opportunity as a VP, Customer Solutions & Operations, you will:

  • Represent Thomson Reuters at key industry events and build relationships with key industry executives.
  • Sponsor the Customer Advisory Board and be an Executive Sponsor across the Mid Law Firm market.
  • Co-Lead with GM to drive scalable change and transformation across the Legal Professionals team in how we go to market and serve our customers through working cross functionally across Enablement, Product Marketing, Sales Operations, GTM and other departments.
  • Lead across Pan Legal GTM functions to drive scale and change.
  • Digital & GTM Analytics as key areas of cross functional work.
  • Drive significant change pan Legal by working across sub-segments to achieve internal transformation required to meet market moment.
  • Workflow Optimization as it pertains to our tech stack utilization in sales process across LP.
  • Co-lead the creation of the overall growth strategy for the mid-law firm market, including the Operating Plan, POV on North Star, and market imperatives, to align the team and cross functional partners for revenue growth.
  • Be customer-obsessed and provide product feedback based on tangible insights to drive incremental value for customers.
  • Build relationships and a funnel of potential partnership opportunities across the Mid-Law market and Pan Legal Professionals. Own the overall strategy and vision for the Mid Market and influence potential acquisition targets that align with our strategy and growth potential.
  • Spearhead and create a new series of Thought Leadership events in coordination with the Thomson Reuters Institute to lead in the AI legal transformation.
  • Analyze internal and external data, analysts’ reports and more to create points of view on market trends, performance, risks and opportunities. Leverage this to create POV on overall strategy, help drive prioritization, and lead in the front through this market moment.

About You

You’re a fit for the VP, Customer Solutions & Operations if your background includes:

  • Minimum 10 years combined Sales, Leadership, Product Marketing, Sales Enablement, Operations and/or similar functions at Dir+, VP, or C-Suite Level in Legal Tech space.
  • Deep Legal and AI expertise.
  • Consistent record of building and running robust, high performing teams.
  • Outstanding written, verbal communication, presentation skills in front of audiences ranging from small executive meetings to very large keynote presentations.
  • Self-starter with ability to multitask in the fast-paced and high-pressure work environment of a start-up paced software company.
  • Strong customer orientation and results-driven leader.
  • Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills; demonstrated ability to structure complex problems, develop hypotheses, and present well-supported solutions.
  • Validated ability in leading digital transformation and large-scale change management efforts is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of AI and the potential to transform the Legal industry is preferred.
  • Ability to influence across a broad spectrum of individuals and functions is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret data for value-based discussions is preferred.
  • Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, flexible and innovative approach to operational management is preferred.
  • Ability to engage and motivate teams is preferred.
  • Ability to lead through organizational change in a virtual environment is preferred.
