This high-impact executive role focuses on championing community-driven approaches across a global organization’s programs, advocacy efforts, and strategic initiatives. As part of the leadership team, you’ll shape how diverse global communities are supported and engaged, ensuring equity and inclusion are central to every interaction. You'll drive meaningful participation structures, amplify community voices, and collaborate cross-functionally to foster trust, transparency, and shared power in an increasingly AI-driven world.

Accountabilities:

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to co-develop a global community engagement strategy.
  • Design equitable systems for participation, leadership, and feedback integration across programs.
  • Establish frameworks that surface community priorities and inform strategic planning and resource allocation.
  • Foster strong relationships across global networks to encourage knowledge exchange and peer learning.
  • Create and maintain inclusive engagement spaces, with a focus on conflict resolution and mutual accountability.
  • Lead internal capacity-building efforts to embed community-centered practices across teams.
  • Launch and oversee key initiatives such as infrastructure audits, evaluation frameworks, and contributor networks.
  • Significant experience building and stewarding purpose-driven communities or networks.
  • Proven background in civic engagement, developer relations, community organizing, or similar fields.
  • Demonstrated commitment to justice, inclusion, and equitable decision-making practices.
  • Strong facilitation skills, including experience with participatory processes and conflict resolution.
  • Experience working within global networks, navigating cultural contexts with sensitivity.
  • Ability to align internal teams with external community priorities.
  • Additional assets: familiarity with privacy-centered ecosystems, decentralized structures, multilingual environments, and accessibility standards.
  • Competitive, location-based salary:
    • Germany: €163,281.60–€183,691.02
    • UK: £143,758.80–£161,727.96 (London: up to £190,268.19)
    • Canada: $281,880.00–$317,113.65
    • US: $208,800–$234,899 (NY/Bay Area: up to $293,623.75)
