We’re looking for our next VP, Client Management. Could It Be You?

As Vice President of Client Management, you will be responsible for generating non-traditional and traditional new business, maintaining positive business relationships with key stakeholders and addressing clients’ needs.

  • You will be responsible for the development of an in-depth understanding of our clients strategies along with a clear definition of business potential with consideration of the defined risk appetite.
  • You will accountable to identify and act on current and future demand trends in traditional and bespoke reinsurance.
  • You will develop client specific hypotheses based on quantitative analysis, and define and implement client-specific sales strategies for our range of products and services, preparing high-quality and client-specific sales presentations (pitch books).
  • You have a keen ability to collaborate across client management to identify non-traditional opportunities and maintain a sales pipeline.
  • You have strong negotiation skills with clients and brokers in cooperation with underwriting and the specialist units involved to facilitate deal prospection, preparation and closing; complete post mortem review and recommendations for future.
  • You are able to develop and maintain deal practices and processes, in support of underwriting, actuarial and finance.
  • You can strongly promote the use of financial structured reinsurance in the market.

Qualifications

  • First and foremost, you will demonstrate strong leadership and achievement, a strong work ethic, enthusiasm towards change and a drive to make a difference.

In addition, we are looking for the following qualifications :

  • A Bachelors’ Degree in Actuarial Science, Economics, Mathematics or equivalent.
  • Minimum of ten years re- / insurance experience, preferably with an Actuarial background.
  • Pro-active contributor, driving new ideas and impulses to meet client demand and to continuously position MROC as the market leader.
  • High in emotional intelligence to foster client and team relationships while contributing to a positive work environment.
  • Ability to negotiate best outcomes for long term and sustained profitability.
  • Solid knowledge of Corporate Finance and Capital Management : Financial Statements, Financial Analysis, impact of new solvency regimes to be implemented, Capital Management essentials for insurance companies.
  • Proven track record in concluding non-traditional reinsurance covers.
  • Proven skills and experience in managing major projects involving a multitude of internal and external interfaces.
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiating and investigative competencies.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Adaptability and flexibility.
