What is the opportunity?

Responsible for facilitating the Capital Markets Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) program, working closely with business and functional stakeholders to identify, document and assess the risk and control environment.

What will you need?

  • Work closely with business and functional stakeholders to facilitate a robust RCSA program, designed to identify, document and assess the risks and controls applicable to the business(es).
  • Build, enhance and maintain 'Risk Registers' for each business, with real-time input and assessment of residual risks. Work closely with ORE, Issue Management and Internal Controls teams to ensure in the assessment of residual risk.
  • Work with Reporting team(s) to ensure all RCSA related reporting requirements are met, and meet regularly with business stakeholders to provide control environment updates
  • Foster, develop and maintain strong working relationships with senior functional partners and business management in order to adequately support the business.
  • Maintain close working relationships with Senior Management, Desk Heads, Business Management and related functions
  • Proactively identify operational risk/control deficiencies in the business and assist in developing solutions / mitigating controls
  • Review and comply with Firm Policies applicable to your business activities
  • Promptly escalate operational risk events, control deficiencies and risks that you identify to your line manager and the relevant risk and control functions promptly
  • Support components of the Regulatory Compliance Management (RCM) assessment process, assisting with enhancements where opportunities exist

What you need to succeed?

Must - have

  • Strong knowledge of the Global Markets businesses and the current regulatory environment
  • Ability to collaborate and execute key program requirements in a complex matrixed organization
  • Ability to take ownership of issues and drive to a successful delivery or outcome, including both tactical and strategic solutions
  • Strong and recognized written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work with ambiguity and to navigate a highly regulated environment
