The Role

Neo Financial seeks a visionary and results-oriented Vice President to architect, cultivate, and scale its strategic banking and financial institution (FI) partner ecosystem. This leader will also spearhead the conceptualization, development, and operationalization of foundational banking infrastructure for new high-potential business lines (e.g., Small Business services, Wealth Management, Mortgage offerings). The role involves sophisticated strategic partnership development, entrepreneurial venture building, and influencing senior executives internally and externally. Success in this role is critical for diversifying revenue streams and achieving exponential growth.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Executive & FI Partner Ecosystem Leadership: Cultivate and own C-suite/Senior Executive relationships at key banking partners; negotiate transformative partnerships; serve as Neo’s senior ambassador to the FI community.
  • New Business Line Banking Infrastructure Incubation: Spearhead the strategic design, build, and operationalization of scalable banking infrastructure for new ventures; ensure regulatory compliance and operational readiness.
  • Card Co-Brand Partnership Accountability: Develop and manage Card Co-Brand partnerships (Third Parties who have Neo as their card issuers, similar to Tim Horton's, HBC, and Cathay Pacific), ensuring strategic alignment and mutual growth.
  • Senior Management & Cross-Functional Alignment: Act as primary advisor to Neo’s Senior Leadership on banking strategy and new market entry; drive internal consensus and resource allocation.
  • Commercial Growth & Strategic Value Realization: Develop and execute strategies to maximize commercial outcomes from FI partnerships and new ventures; identify new revenue streams.
  • Strategic Leadership & FI Ecosystem Development: Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for Neo's banking and FI partner ecosystem, owning executive relationships and negotiating high-value agreements. Continuously optimize the partner portfolio.
  • Executive Stakeholder & Senior Management Engagement: Advise senior leadership on banking partnerships and infrastructure; champion initiatives internally and manage stakeholder communications.
  • Banking Infrastructure & New Business Line Incubation: Lead the strategy, development, and operationalization of banking infrastructure for new business lines (e.g., Small Business, Wealth, Mortgages), collaborating with Product, Engineering, and Technology. This includes market analysis, defining offerings, and potentially managing P&L during incubation.
  • Commercial Growth & Partnership Optimization: Drive business impact and financial growth through strategic execution and optimization of partnerships, monitoring performance with data and KPIs.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership & Execution: Lead and mentor a high-performing team; foster a culture of collaboration and execution excellence across internal teams.

Market Intelligence, Innovation & Regulatory Foresight: Maintain awareness of industry trends, innovations, and regulatory changes to inform strategy and identify new opportunities.

Who We Are Looking For

  • 12-15+ years of progressive leadership in strategic partnerships, business development, product strategy, or general management within financial services, banking, or fintech.
  • Demonstrable track record with C-level relationships in banks and FIs.
  • Proven experience launching new financial products or banking infrastructure for new business lines (Small Business, Wealth, Mortgages highly advantageous).
  • Strong commercial and strategic acumen, with experience in complex deal negotiation; P&L responsibility desirable.
  • Exceptional executive communication and influencing skills.
  • Deep understanding of the banking/payments ecosystem, regulations, and fintech innovations.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required; MBA strongly preferred.
  • Key Attributes: Visionary, entrepreneurial, results-driven, analytical, collaborative, high integrity, adaptable, resilient. A "Strategic Builder."
