As VP, Accounting & Reporting, you are the steward of financial precision, integrity, and clarity. Every ledger, every statutory disclosure, every consolidation across our global entities—flows through your hands. You don’t just close books. You define the financial architecture that lets our platform scale with speed, trust, and investor-grade transparency.

We require a minimum commitment : 20 hours / week. If that’s not sustainable, we completely understand- but this role isn't the right fit at this time.

We are offering a founding equity partner role , not a traditional salaried position. That means :

No upfront cash compensation

Future token-based rewards (Subject to legal approvals, currently hold no assigned financial Value.)

Overview

You will own and operate the end-to-end accounting function for Anime Universe—across multi-entity reporting, international compliance, audit prep, and ERP systemization.

You will lead a distributed team of controllers, AP / AR specialists, and reporting experts—ensuring accuracy, transparency, and fiscal integrity across the board.

This is the bedrock role for scale. Precision is not optional. Speed is expected.

What You’ll Own

• Direct monthly close and global financial consolidations
• Maintain and evolve accounting policies, controls, and procedures
• Ensure IFRS / GAAP compliance across all jurisdictions
• Lead external audit preparation and execution
• Roll out global ERP and finance automation systems
• Supervise operational accounting, GL, payroll, and internal controls
• Standardize financial processes across international business units
• Manage statutory reporting and liaise with legal on filings
• Partner with leadership on financial modeling, strategy, and readiness

What We’re Looking For

• 10+ years in accounting and reporting leadership roles
• Experience with multi-entity consolidation and international subsidiaries
• Proven track record leading audits, ERP transitions, and financial ops scale
• Deep knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and compliance frameworks
• Operational experience across GL, AP / AR, payroll, and intercompany accounting
• Strong leadership and documentation instincts in async environments
• Bonus : experience with subscription-based business models or digital content platforms

Team Snapshot

Controller

Owns the general ledger, financial close, and operational accounting.

GL & AP / AR Teams

Processes transactions, manages ledgers, and automates vendor workflows.

Payroll

Administers multi-region payroll and tax compliance. Partners with HR.

Consolidations

Manages intercompany and elimination workflows across all entities.

Prepares external statements, leads SOX or equivalent, tracks regulatory updates.
