About the Role

Full Stack Mobile App Developer (Volunteer)

We’re looking for an experienced Full Stack Mobile App Developer (Volunteer) to help bring our marketplace app to life. As part of a collaborative partnership project, you’ll play a key role in building and scaling a mobile platform designed to connect and uplift underrepresented communities across Canada.

What You’ll Do:

• Build the mobile app using React Native (preferred) or Flutter
• Develop and integrate both frontend and backend features
• Set up backend infrastructure (e.g., Firebase, Supabase, or Node.js)
• Implement key functionality like authentication, role-based access, dashboards, and listings
• Collaborate with the UX Designer and Product Manager to align on app features and priorities
• Support deployment to Google Play and Apple App Store
• Use tools like Jira to track tasks and updates
• Have 4+ years of experience in full stack mobile app development
• Are confident working across both frontend and backend
• Are familiar with React Native, Firebase, Supabase, Node.js, or TypeScript
• Can work independently and communicate clearly within a collaborative, remote team
• Care about building inclusive, community-driven platforms
• Bonus: Have experience working on marketplace apps or user/vendor platforms
