About The Borgen Project: From CNN to The Huffington Post, the world is talking about our movement to reduce global poverty. We believe that world leaders should prioritize addressing poverty, and our campaign works to influence U.S. and U.K. foreign policy to this end.

With 20 years of experience, The Borgen Project advocates for policies that benefit nearly 500 million people in developing countries. We are seeking passionate individuals to join our Nonprofit Leadership Program.

Program Details:

This is a part-time, unpaid, remote program lasting 12 weeks, requiring approximately 12 hours per week. You can complete the program sooner if desired.

What You Will Learn:
  • Advocacy Leadership Development: Engage with government officials, represent The Borgen Project at various events, and mobilize support for poverty reduction legislation.
  • Fundraising Development: Learn fundraising strategies, create a personal campaign, and meet targets.
  • Recruitment: Update job postings, promote openings, and participate in interviews.
  • Marketing and Promotion: Pitch stories to media, utilize social media, and develop web messaging strategies.
Qualifications:

No prior experience is necessary. We value passion for fighting poverty and making a difference, regardless of background or GPA.

Additional Information:

This is an unpaid opportunity, but college credit may be available. Programs start every month, and you can choose your start date.
