A community-focused organization is seeking a Volunteer Content Creator to produce engaging content for various digital platforms, including Instagram and TikTok. This remote, unpaid position requires a commitment of 15-20 hours per week for an initial 3-months, aimed at fostering cultural understanding through compelling storytelling. The African Union Sixth Region Global (AU6RG) is a dynamic, diaspora-led initiative dedicated to bridging the gap between Africans on the continent and those in the diaspora. Our mission is to foster unity, collaboration, and cultural exchange through innovative digital media, advocacy, and community engagement. We believe in the power of storytelling to challenge perceptions, celebrate African heritage, and drive meaningful dialogue.
Role Overview: We are seeking a passionate Volunteer Content Creator to join our team and help produce engaging, thought-provoking content for our digital platforms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter/X, YouTube, Pinterest). This unpaid volunteer position offers a unique opportunity to build your portfolio, expand your network, and make a tangible impact in the African diaspora community. Ideal candidates must be eager to learn and take on diverse roles with enthusiasm.
Weekly: 15–20 hours (flexible, based on project needs).
Duration: Initial commitment of 3 months, with the possibility of extension.
Location: Remote (Global) | Commitment: Part-time, Volunteer
Note: This is an unpaid volunteer position, but it offers opportunities to build a portfolio and professional network.
Skills required: Copy Writing • Editing • Graphic Design • Photo Editing • Social Media • Website Production
Languages Needed: English, French and proficiency in African languages, Patois, Creole.
• Passion for African Culture: A deep appreciation for African history, traditions, and contemporary issues.
• Creative Skills: Experience in video production, writing, graphic design, or social media management is a plus.
• Storytelling Ability: A knack for turning complex ideas into engaging, accessible content.
• Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with content creation tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut, or similar) is an advantage.
