An established industry player is seeking dedicated volunteer Board Members to enhance strategic oversight and support the well-being of young caregivers. This role involves attending monthly meetings, contributing to sustainability efforts, and ensuring compliance with legal and financial obligations. Ideal candidates will have strong governance knowledge and a passion for supporting family caregivers. The Young Caregivers Association (YCA) is currently accepting applications from qualified candidates for volunteer Board Members to support the strategic oversight of operations while focusing on sustainability, expansion, and excellence.
The successful candidate(s) will be elected for a three-year term. It is expected that Board Members will attend regular board meetings and sit on at least one Board committee.
Board meetings take place monthly in the evening and are held primarily through Zoom with some in-person events in the Niagara Region. Attendance at committee meetings is required (primarily Zoom). A typical month requires up to 10 hours of time.
