Job summary

Mercor is seeking French-Canadian voice actors to collaborate with a leading AI lab, focusing on improving audio data handling and production. Native Canadian French speakers born in Canada, with strong English communication, are invited to apply.

Prior voice acting is preferred but not required, with a home studio setup and professional equipment expected. Compensation is $300 USD per finished hour, with a commitment of 2–10 hours per week.

Job description

Mercor is hiring French-Canadian Voice Actors to work directly with a leading AI lab, improving their model's ability to handle and produce audio data.

Professional experience in Voice Acting is greatly preferred but not required. We welcome people with speaking and audio experience through Music, Television, Podcasts, Twitch Streaming, Comedy, YouTube, Radio, or other related fields.

You must be a native speaker of Canadian French, born and raised in Canada.

You also need to be a proficient English speaker to ensure proper communication during the project.

Project logistics

• Participants are paid $300 USD per finished hour, based on the length of submitted audio.

• You'll need to commit between 2-10 hours per week.

• Rolling start — onboarding begins once your contract is accepted and ID verification clears.

• You will need to be available for a kickoff call.

Requirements

• Ability to speak in a "customer service" voice — neutral to upbeat tone, clear enunciation, consistent pacing.

• Close attention to punctuation, commas and dashes. It is very important that you record transcripts exactly as written, or edit them to reflect natural pacing.

• A professional audio recording setup: a home studio with a professional-grade microphone, soundproofing, an audio interface, a pop filter, and editing software for post-production.

• Submissions must be WAV, 44.1 kHz, mono, with under one second of silence at the start and end, and no audible breathing.
