Job summary

DP World Canada Inc. is seeking a Systems and Network Administrator to oversee the IT infrastructure, focusing on Windows Server environments, VMware virtualization, Citrix RDS, and SQL Server administration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on Windows Server administration and virtualization experience.
• Proficiency in Windows Server 2025 administration.
• VMware experience with vSphere/ESXi and vCenter.
• Active Directory, DNS, GPO and web server management.
• PowerShell or similar scripting for automation.
• SQL Server administration including backups and performance tuning.
• Experience with network and storage in a virtualized environment.
• Cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
• CCNA or equivalent networking certification preferred; Check Point CCSA is a plus.
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• MCSE or VMware VCP-like certifications preferred.
• Fluent in English.
• Canadian work experience or direct experience with Canadian industries.

Responsibilities

• Set up, configure, and manage Windows Server environments (2025/2022).
• Administer Active Directory, users, permissions, and Group Policy Objects.
• Develop automation scripts (PowerShell, etc.).
• Manage VMware vSphere ESXi hosts and vCenter Server.
• Monitor and optimize VM and server performance.
• Configure DNS and web servers for high availability.
• Implement virtual networks and storage solutions.
• Perform database administration tasks and backups.
• Apply updates, patches, and security Hardening.
• Troubleshoot server, virtualization, OS, and storage issues.
• Maintain technical documentation and procedures.
• Collaborate on new virtualization solutions and security measures.
• Manage enterprise network infrastructure including Check Point firewalls and VPNs.
• Configure VLANs, TCP/IP, DHCP, IPSec, routing, and switch basics.
• Monitor security logs, audits, and remediation.
• Participate in on-call rotations (approx. one week/month).
