Job summary

Arc’teryx Equipment in North Vancouver seeks a Visual Merchandising Specialist – Global to execute VM strategies and ensure global consistency of merchandising standards across brand stores. You will support direct-to-consumer concepts, create engaging retail experiences, and help increase branded space productivity.

You’ll collaborate with regional teams, manage tools and communications, and contribute to store openings and VM training worldwide, with a passion for outdoor gear and customer

Qualifications

  • University degree in Visual Merchandising, Art & Design, Marketing, Brand or Business Management with 2+ years in retail visual merchandising.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma and SketchUp.
  • Strong eye for product, presentation, styling and colour.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
  • Familiar with Arc’teryx brand and products; active apparel market understanding.

Responsibilities

  • Support Global VM to develop and execute seasonal and multi-year strategies for regional teams and partners worldwide.
  • Maintain and evolve global VM standards documents with Global Product Management, Regional Merchants, Colour and Brand teams.
  • Gather and document VM tools, processes and communications for seamless product rollout across GTM gates.
  • Participate in regional store visits to support consistent visual brand presentation.
  • Collaborate with Regional VM team to drive store results and best practices; maintain strong relationships with retail teams.
  • Assist with new store openings to support VM standards training in the field.
  • Create ad hoc communications about changes impacting product presentation and VM strategy.
  • Contribute to developing VM tools, processes, principles and communications for best-in-class retail experiences.
  • Contribute to VM concept strategies aligned with the 5-year brand vision and trends.

Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:

As the Visual Merchandising Specialist - Global, you help to execute Visual Merchandising strategies that support the Global Merchandising vision and ensure global consistency of merchandising standards all global brand stores and/or outlets. You support in driving global direct-to-consumer assortment concepts that support consumer-centric brand story-telling, create meaningful retail experiences, and increase branded space productivity.

This role is based out of our North Vancouver office and is open to hybrid remote work. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.

If you were in the Visual Merchandising Specialist – Global role now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:
  • Supporting the Global Visual Merchandising team to develop and execute seasonal and multi-year strategies to regional teams and cross functional partners throughout the globe
  • Supporting the maintenance and evolution of global visual merchandising standards documents in collaboration with Global Product Management, Regional Merchants, Colour and Brand teams for a consistent, authentic and inspiring consumer experience
  • Gathering and documenting visual merchandising tools, processes and communication that support seamless implementation of product across all GTM stage gates
  • Participating in regional store visits to support the Regional Visual Merchandising team in driving a consistent visual brand presentation
  • Collaborating with the Regional VM team to drive store results and best practices; fostering and maintaining strong relationships and communication cadence with the retail teams
  • Assisting with new store openings across the globe to support VM standards training in the field
  • Creating ad hoc communication related to changes in the business that impacts product presentation and visual merchandising strategy

  • Contributing to the creation and continuous evolution of our VM concept strategies to deliver on our 5-year brand vision; leveraging global marketplace and key consumer trends
Are you our next Visual Merchandising Specialist – Global?
  • You have a university degree in Visual Merchandising, Art & Design, Marketing, Brand or Business Management and 2+ years of field experience in retail visual merchandising
  • You are proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma and SketchUp
  • You have an eye for product, product presentation, styling and colour
  • You are a strong cross-functional collaborator
  • You have strong verbal and communication skills
  • You are familiar with the Arc’teryx brand and products
  • You have a strong understanding of the active apparel market within the outdoor industry, and the key outdoor activities we make product for
  • You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions
  • You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
  • You effectively balance autonomy and collaboration
  • You seek the best (sometimes not the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment to do what is right

Compensation:

The salary range for this role is CAD$71,000 - CAD$93,000
