Job description

Visual Merchandising In-store Graphic Designer (12month contract)

Join to apply for the Visual Merchandising In-store Graphic Designer (12month contract) role at UNIQLO.

Position Overview: This role is a 12-month contract responsible for creating and compiling In-store Design directives, including adjusting photos and data, creating displays and renderings, and supporting the VMD department with budgeting, reporting, and store initiatives across Canada.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Create concepts, renderings, and gather product images for in-store displays.
  2. Design and produce production files for printing.
  3. Support window propping and file creation as needed.
  4. Create and update communication documents and oversee installations.
  5. Train Area Visual Managers on product and prop placement.
  6. Implement In-Store design directives shared by GHQ in local markets.
  7. Ensure all communication aligns with brand standards.
  8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on store displays and collateral.
  9. Manage multiple projects with strong organizational skills.
  10. Handle budget-related tasks, including PO, COUPA, and budget reporting.
  11. Be available during overnight installs, remotely or on-site.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Visual Merchandising, Graphic Design, or related field.
  2. At least 2 years of experience designing and communicating visual directives in a corporate retail environment.
  3. Retail experience, especially in Window and In-Store VMD design and execution, is preferred.
  4. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), Dimension, SketchUp, etc.
  5. Strong skills in computer graphics and 3D rendering.
  6. Experience with large-scale digital print file preparation.
  7. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to changing priorities, and meet deadlines.
  8. Excellent communication skills; French proficiency is an asset.
  9. Dependable attendance and punctuality.
