Job summary

Sport Chek is seeking a Visual Merchandiser in Burnaby, BC. You will creatively merge artistic flair with practical execution to enhance the on-floor shopping experience and align displays with current merchandise and promotions.

Responsibilities include setting up window and floor displays, supporting promotional events, and maintaining fixtures while engaging customers professionally and driving sales performance.

As a Visual Merchandiser, you are creative, understand the need to execute to the plan, and can marry the two together to enhance the Sport Chek shopping experience. And, all this contributes positively to your customers’ complete experience. As such, your job will be to combine artistic flair with technical know-how for merchandising the sales floor.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure all visual elements are displayed with current merchandise


• Support the set-up of all promotional events and seasonal changeovers


• Maintain all point of purchase, sign-holders and fixtures


• Assist with pricing, unpacking, and placement of stock


• Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner


• Deliver exceptional customer experience to support your team in achieving performance targets

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Prior visual merchandising experience


• Hands-on experience setting up window and floor displays in a retail environment


• Passion for sports, sports fashion, and active, healthy living


• Ability to lift/move boxes

Educational Level

• High School education


• Degree/diploma in a visual merchandising is an asset

Experience Level

Our typical hiring range is between $19.25 and $22.00 per hour. Salary decisions are also dependent on other factors such as your experience, job-related knowledge, skills and competencies, store size and market location, industry benchmarks, internal equity and other role-specific requirements.
