We are currently seeking a Visual Merchandiser with a vehicle in Kingston, ON.

Job Description

Bloomworks Merchandising (formerly CMS)

is a third party merchandising company in the live goods (plants) industry operating across Ontario, Quebec, and the Maritimes. We service several big box retailers by merchandising plants in their indoor and outdoor garden centres.

Job Summary:

Merchandisers are responsible for the care and presentation of the live goods in the local retail stores

Responsible for completing online reports (including pictures) through a free mobile app.

Merchandisers are responsible for the visual display and integrity of our products as well as pricing and inventory management.

Specific Skills / Abilities:

Physical work - able to lift 50 lbs

Standing/Working for long periods of time

Working outside in the elements

Fast-paced environment; Tight deadlines; Repetitive tasks

Handling, pulling and lifting heavy loads at times .

This is a physically demanding job, and you must be physically capable of performing all duties as assigned.

A friendly presence is required for the position as you will be expected to establish positive relationships with garden centre staff and customers.

The ability to follow direction and have a keen eye for attention to detail.

Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team

Qualification Requirements

Safety-toed shoes or boots required (steel or composite) for duration of shift

Flexibility with work hours and to adapt to the needs of the business, including the willingness to work on weekends

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in Canada

A vehicle is beneficial for this role

Hours: Part-Time/Casual

7 days a week availability required

Who you are:

Have an interest in plants, flowers, trees, horticulture, landscape, arboriculture, retail, floral design, agriculture, environmental studies.

Garden centre or landscaping experience would be an asset.
