Job summary

Brand Momentum is seeking a detail-oriented Merchandiser to work as an independent contractor in retail locations across Ontario. The role involves maintaining and updating floral and packaged nut product displays, visiting stores several times weekly, and ensuring displays are neat, well-stocked, and properly priced.

You will execute planograms, manage inventory and seasonal displays, submit daily reports, and collaborate with store staff to uphold merchandising standards.

Responsibilities

• Display & Product Maintenance: organize and refresh displays, restock and adjust seasonal displays and pricing.
• Inventory & Ordering: identify low stock and place product orders to keep displays stocked.
• Planogram Execution: follow store planograms and execute promotional displays and end caps.
• Reporting: submit daily call reports on displays, inventory, and actions taken.
• Collaboration: work with store personnel to ensure displays meet merchandising standards.
• Plant Care (Floral Only): water and care for flowers and plants as needed.
• Cleanliness & Organization: keep floral display area tidy and organized.
• Call Reports: submit detailed reports after each store visit.

About the Position

We are currently looking for an independent contractor who is a detail-orientated Merchandiser to work at a retail location, for 14-19 hours per week on weekdays!

Starting Rate: $20/HR

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Merchandiser to join our team as an independent contractor. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the presentation of floral and packaged nut product displays across multiple store locations. The ideal candidate will visit assigned stores ___ times per week to ensure displays are visually appealing, well-stocked, and properly priced. This role also involves updating seasonal displays, managing inventory, and executing store-specific marketing programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Display & Product Maintenance: Organize and condense displays to maintain a neat, fresh, and attractive presentation. Restock and update packaged product displays as needed, including adjusting seasonal displays and pricing.
• Inventory & Ordering: Manage inventory by identifying low stock and placing product orders, ensuring displays are always fully stocked and organized.
• Planogram Execution: Follow planograms to ensure products are placed according to store-specific guidelines. Execute promotional displays, end caps, and other marketing programs.
• Reporting: Submit daily call reports documenting the condition of displays, inventory levels, and actions taken during each store visit.
• Collaboration: Work closely with store personnel ensure displays are consistently appealing and meet all merchandising standards.
• Plant Care (Floral Only): Water and care for flowers and plants according to their specific needs, ensuring they remain healthy and vibrant.
• Cleanliness & Organization: Keep the floral display area tidy, dispose of trash, and maintain a clean and organized environment.
• Call Reports: Submit detailed reports after each store visit, documenting the condition of displays, inventory, and any actions taken.

Qualifications:

• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Comfortable with walking and being on your feet for long periods of time.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a keen eye for presentation.
• Flexibility to adjust to changing market needs and store-specific requests.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with store personnel.
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs.
• Reliable transportation to visit multiple store locations (as needed).
• Knowledge of plant care is a plus, but not required.
