THE ROLE

Our Retail Team is seeking a Visual Manager for our upcoming Woodgrove Centre location in Nanaimo, BC. The ideal candidate will have a high sense of urgency, keen eye for detail, and a driven mentality. As part of the store’s Junior Management team, you will support and supervise staff while maintaining high standards on the shop floor. You will provide visual support by creating engaging product displays, utilizing the latest fashion trends, and developing window and in-store displays to maximize store profitability. You will also be responsible for presenting new products and ensuring compliance with JD standards throughout the store.

Responsibilities

1. Attract, engage, and motivate customers using creative visual techniques.
2. Maintain and update mannequins, displays, and windows according to seasonal and retail calendar events.
3. Analyze Oracle data to optimize product placement and floor layout.
4. Communicate with the District Visual Merchandiser regarding in-store visual activities.
5. Set up and monitor in-store promotions.
6. Train and develop team members in merchandising and display techniques.
7. Conduct weekly development practices to prepare associates for future roles.
8. Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and store maintenance.
9. Work safely and responsibly at all times.
10. Lead by example with professionalism and integrity.

Skills, Experience, and Knowledge

1. Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of visual merchandising experience.
2. Creative, imaginative, with a flair for product flow coordination.
