About the role

Bring your customer service and general office administration skills to this role with the Fort William Historical Park (FWHP), where you will provide a range of clerical and admission support services to FWHP operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide customer service
  • Process visitor admissions, ticket and retail sales
  • Maintain cash float and operate cash registers
  • Reconcile daily sales, prepare cash out reports, and manage deposits
  • Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and in person, providing information about FWHP
  • Maintain file systems supporting FWHP operations
  • Draft and type routine correspondence for management and staff
  • Assist with clerical, administrative, and setup / strike for events
  • Perform routine and project-related clerical tasks
  • Support other FWHP positions during peak seasons or as needed

Note : This position requires availability to work evenings and weekends, with flexibility for additional hours.

Qualifications

Mandatory

  • Advanced oral and written French language skills, proficiency confirmed before hire

Skills and Knowledge

  • Knowledge of FWHP programs, policies, and procedures
  • Experience with cash handling, retail sales, and financial reporting
  • Receptionist skills, including call routing and message forwarding
  • Typing and data entry skills for administrative support
  • Organizational and planning skills for customer service and seasonal demands
  • Analytical skills for sales reconciliation and problem resolution
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for public interaction
