Regular Full Time Support Centre [HO] Mississauga, ON, CA

Salary Range: $85,000.00 To $105,000.00 Annually

Job Description:
  • Provide patient-focused clinical services, including comprehensive medication reviews, assessments, prescribing activities where authorized, and other professional services within the pharmacist's full scope of practice and applicable provincial regulations.
  • Deliver evidence-based recommendations and professional advice on prescription medications, over-the-counter therapies, and healthcare services to optimize patient outcomes and enhance the patient experience.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, pharmacy teams, and other healthcare providers to support continuity of care and coordinated patient management.
  • Follow up on patient interventions, medication therapy issues, and identified drug-related problems to ensure resolution, monitor outcomes, and document clinical impact.
  • Complete accurate, timely, and compliant documentation, claim submissions, and patient records in accordance with regulatory requirements, payer programs, Rexall policies, and standard operating procedures.
  • Support the development, implementation, and optimization of clinical programs, patient care initiatives, and pharmacy services delivered through virtual and retail channels.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration and attend team, department, operational, and stakeholder meetings to contribute clinical expertise, share insights, and support organizational objectives.
  • Develop, review, and curate clinical and educational content for patient resources, training materials, presentations, workflow tools, and internal communications to support knowledge translation and program delivery.
  • Stay current with emerging clinical evidence, pharmacy practice standards, healthcare trends, and regulatory requirements while contributing to quality improvement initiatives and service enhancements.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned to support Rexall Pharmacy Group Ltd.
Knowledge, skills and experience:
  • Licensed Pharmacist in good standing with the applicable Provincial College of Pharmacy.
  • Current authorization and certification to administer injections and immunizations, where permitted by provincial regulations.
  • Additional clinical training, certifications, or designations are considered an asset (e.g., Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE), Certified Geriatric Pharmacist (CGP), Certified Respiratory Educator (CRE), and other relevant specialty credentials).
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and a positive patient experience in a virtual healthcare environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Results-oriented with the ability to prioritize competing demands, work independently, and execute with a sense of urgency and a proactive, solution-focused approach.
  • Ability to balance professional pharmacy practice, clinical excellence, patient outcomes, and business objectives.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to identify, resolve, and follow up on drug therapy problems.
  • Excellent organizational, documentation, and time-management skills, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications and pharmacy technology platforms, including pharmacy dispensing systems (PropelRx experience considered an asset), patient management systems, and virtual care technologies.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving healthcare programs, technologies, regulations, and virtual care delivery models.
  • This is role is filling an existing vacancy on the team.

  • This position requires a comprehensive understanding of the role, scope of practice, and regulatory requirements of pharmacists practicing in community and virtual care settings.
  • The role requires confidence, sound clinical judgment, and strong clinical knowledge when caring for patients with complex medical conditions, multiple comorbidities, and evolving therapeutic goals.
  • The pharmacist must be comfortable delivering care through virtual platforms while collaborating effectively with patients, prescribers, pharmacy teams, and other healthcare professionals across multiple jurisdictions.
  • The position operates within a dynamic healthcare environment that supports evolving clinical programs, technologies, and patient care models.
  • While the role is primarily virtual, business and operational requirements may evolve over time. As such, the successful candidate must be willing and able to work from a designated Rexall pharmacy location or other Rexall worksite, as required.

Additional Information
  • This position is primarily a virtual role and may require occasional travel for meetings, training, pharmacy support, or corporate initiatives.
  • Flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, may be required to support patient care and business needs.
  • The successful candidate must maintain all professional licenses, certifications, and continuing education requirements necessary to practice pharmacy within their authorized jurisdictions.
  • The position may support patients and programs across multiple provinces and time zones.
