Job summary

EllisDon Corporation is seeking a Virtual Design and Construction Coordinator to create drawings and 3D models during design using CAD and Revit, and to coordinate with Project Managers and Construction Managers to develop project-specific processes for 3D information for estimating, logistics, planning and field layout.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture.
• 3–5 years of VDC/BIM software experience, primarily Revit, AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Navisworks.
• Ability to read and understand plans and specifications.
• Construction knowledge and/or related work experience.
• Strong computer skills.

• Assists with the specification and evaluation of VDC/BIM requirements for subcontractors engaged on VDC/BIM enabled projects.
• Create 3D Models of Architectural and MEP elements which are missing and necessary for visualization and design review purpose.
• Perform clash detection and assists in developing solutions with the project team.
• Communicate updated 3D site logistics plan and 4D modeling animation to project stakeholders.
• Act as “Model Administrator” for assigned projects.
• Assist other project staff in the use of VDC/BIM related software as required.

You as a Virtual Design and Construction Coordinator will:

Is this the right fit for you?

• Exposure to 3D laser scans/point cloud models
• Undergraduate degree in Engineer. Construction Management, or Architecture
• 3-5 years’ experience working with VDC/BIM related software, primarily Revit, AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Navisworks
• Construction knowledge and/or related work experience and asset
• Ability to read and understand plans and specifications
• Strong computer skills
• The salary range for this role is $66,200 - $82,700
