Sales Representative

The right candidate's primary responsibility is to manage the sales process while providing excellent customer service. The Sales Representative continuously sources new customers, helps customers find and design their dream home, and ensures a smooth sales process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Effectively communicate DR Horton’s value proposition, product vision, and capabilities to potential customers
  • Uncover and understand customer goals and challenges, then establish DR Horton as the best solution available
  • Overcome objections and close sales
  • Maintain accurate documentation of transactions from sale through loan, options, and construction
  • Continuously source new sales opportunities
  • Create and provide management with a marketing plan for establishing new customer relationships
  • Network and perform outreach to realtors
  • Manage time efficiently, meet sales goals, and work effectively with team members
  • Maintain and expand database of prospects
  • Attend sales meetings
  • Conduct all business professionally and ethically to serve customers and enhance company goodwill and profit
  • Develop and maintain good rapport with prospective customers, realtors, and team members
  • Execute policies to ensure compliance with quality standards

The primary responsibility is to manage the sales process while providing excellent customer service. The Sales Representative sources new customers, assists in designing homes, and ensures a smooth sales process.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree or 2 years related experience
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle, able to drive in day or night
  • Ability to use DRH Sales applications on a smartphone, tablet, or laptop
  • Ability to understand and carry out instructions in written, oral, or application form
  • Proficiency with MS Office and email
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, kneel, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds; specific vision requirements include near, distance, color, and peripheral vision
  • Exposure to outside weather; moderate noise level

Preferred Qualifications

  • State licensing requirements vary
  • Experience with CRM software
  • Previous sales experience, industry knowledge preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Highly motivated
