Job summary

Rockstar Music in West Vancouver, BC invites a dedicated violin teacher to join our network of university-educated musicians and educators. You will provide private, one-on-one lessons in-home or online, fostering a love of music and technique.

Ideal candidates are reliable, patient, able to work independently with children, and comfortable guiding students through repertoire while building strong relationships with families. Vehicle required; transit or bikes not accepted. Apply via Indeed.

Qualifications

• Reliable vehicle to travel to lessons; no transit or bikes.
• Reliable, patient, open-minded and enjoys working with children.
• Able to work independently with limited supervision; can manage own schedule.
• Able to teach technique and repertoire in a fun, engaging manner.
• Post-secondary and RCM education considered an asset; ECEs & Ontario Certified Teachers encouraged with rate premiums.

Responsibilities

• Encourage the joy of making music.
• Help students develop discipline and commitment for success.
• Make learning as enjoyable as making music itself.
• Build a strong relationship with students to help them succeed.
• Provide brief feedback to parents at the end of every lesson.
