Job summary

Precision Record Pressing in Burlington, ON is seeking a Vinyl Reclaim Associate to join our Burlington team. This full-time role sorts and prepares scrap records, maintains regrind inventory, and produces mixes to support sustainable material recovery for production.

The shift rotates weekly between day (7:00 AM–3:00 PM) and afternoon (3:00 PM–11:00 PM). Candidates must reside in Canada and be legally eligible to work without sponsorship.

Qualifications

  • General labor experience preferred in recycling, manufacturing, or warehouse settings.
  • Attention to safety protocols and PPE requirements.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Sort and organize scrap LPs for recycling and reprocessing.
  • Prepare scrap LPs for processing.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of regrind materials.
  • Generate and adjust mixes according to production requirements.
  • Ensure mixes are to spec and properly labeled.
  • Track recycled material volumes and usage.
  • Coordinate with production to align material availability with schedules.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain housekeeping in recycling areas.
  • Assist with additional duties as assigned.

Precision Record Pressing is a leading vinyl record pressing company with multiple locations in the Greater Toronto Area. We are currently looking for VINYL RECLAIM ASSOCIATE to join our BURLINGTON team. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity that will sort and prepare scrap records, maintain regrind inventory, and producing mixes to ensure efficient and sustainable material recovery for production. We are looking for a positive, energetic person who is highly motivated and wants to work in a team environment!


This position operates on a weekly rotation of day shift (7AM-3PM) and afternoon shift (3PM-11PM).


Candidates must reside in Canada and be legally authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship now or in the future.


Responsibilities


  • Sort and organize reject LPs for recycling and reprocessing.

  • Prepare scrap LPs for Punch N Snap processing.

  • Maintain accurate inventory of single-color regrind materials.

  • Generate custom mixes, including PD mix and other blends, according to production requirements.

  • Ensure that all custom mixes are made to spec.

  • Track and document recycled material volumes and usage.

  • Coordinate with production to align recycled material availability with pressing schedules.

  • Ensure proper labeling, storage, and segregation of recycled materials to prevent contamination.

  • Identify opportunities to increase recycling efficiency and reduce waste.

  • Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of PPE.

  • Maintain housekeeping in recycling areas.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Procurement and Planning Team Leader or designate.


Physical Demands


  • Prolonged standing in a fast-paced recycling environment.

  • Frequent bending, squatting, and lifting vinyl scrap containers.

  • Ability to carry, push, or lift up to 50 lbs regularly.

  • Exposure to varying warehouse conditions (temperature, noise, dust).

  • Continuous use of hands and wrists in sorting and handling vinyl.


Requirements/Qualifications


  • Previous experience in recycling, material handling, or manufacturing preferred.

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Knowledge of vinyl record pressing processes considered an asset.

  • CSA-approved steel-toed safety boots and proper PPE required.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Basic computer skills for tracking inventory and reporting.

  • Commitment to safety, sustainability, and process improvement.
