Job summary

The Byng Group in Halifax, Nova Scotia, is seeking experienced Vinyl Flooring Installers to support apartment turnover projects. You will install glue-down and click vinyl efficiently in occupied units while maintaining quality and safety standards.

As an Independent Contractor in Halifax, you will manage your own tools and transportation, meet tight deadlines, and provide liability insurance and WCB registration.

Qualifications

• Proven experience installing vinyl flooring (glue-down and click)
• Strong attention to detail and finish quality
• Ability to meet tight project timelines and turnover schedules
• Own tools, equipment, and reliable transportation
• Valid business registration

Responsibilities

• Installation of vinyl flooring (glue-down and click systems) in residential units
• Subfloor preparation including cleaning, leveling, patching, and minor repairs
• Removal and disposal of existing flooring where required
• Accurate measuring, cutting, and fitting of flooring materials
• Ensuring finished product meets quality and durability standards
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas
