Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Order materials and ensure timely delivery to sites.
• Lead and train workers on techniques, safety and procedures.
• Inspect work for quality, specs, and codes; ensure safety compliance.
• Prepare progress and production reports; manage client communications.
• Recruit and hire workers and participate in staffing decisions.

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Floor Covering Supervisor to join our team at YYC Flooring Solutions. As a Floor Covering Supervisor, you will supervise and coordinate floor covering installation projects across residential and commercial settings, leading a team of installers, tilesetters, and trades helpers. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction on every job. This full‑time position offers hands‑on leadership experience, ongoing skill development, and excellent opportunities for professional growth and career advancement.

Duties

• Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of floor covering installers, tilesetters, and trades helpers on commercial and residential installation projects.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to plan installation layouts and determine project requirements.
• Estimate costs, materials, labour, and timelines for floor covering projects and prepare accurate quotes.
• Requisition and order materials, equipment, and supplies, and ensure they are delivered to job sites on schedule.
• Lead, instruct, and train workers on installation techniques, quality standards, and company procedures, or arrange for training as needed.
• Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards, client specifications, and building codes.
• Ensure all workplace health and safety regulations and safe work practices are followed on every job site.
• Prepare production reports, progress reports, and other project documentation.
• Recruit and hire workers, carry out related staffing actions, and recommend personnel actions such as promotions, transfers, or discipline.
• Communicate with clients, contractors, and suppliers to resolve issues and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Requirements

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Languages: English

Terms of Employment: Permanent employment, Full‑time, 32-40 hours a week

Shifts: Morning, Day, Weekend

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Work location: On site – work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Starting date: As soon as possible

Pay: Salary $41.00 / hour
