Assiniboine, “the Matterhorn of the Canadian Rockies".

Description

The Village Custodians provide an outstanding experience for our guests. They are responsible for cleaning and maintaining public spaces, as well as answering guest queries. This is a physical position requiring manual labour, lifting, and carrying.

Essential Functions

• Maintain overall cleanliness of public spaces.
• Responsible for garbage, recycling, and snow/ice removal.
• Able to answer questions about the mountain and operations.
• Self-starter, helping with odd projects and equipment issues.

Other duties as assigned.

Experience/Requirements

• Effectively communicate and comprehend detailed instructions in English.
• Passion for providing outstanding guest service.
• Previous cleaning experience in a professional cleaning environment is considered an asset.
• Previous repair/maintenance experience considered an asset.
• Energetic, self-motivated and positive attitude.
• Excellent time management, problem, solving and team work skills.
• Attention to detail with the flexibility to shift focus based on need.

Additional Considerations

• Employees must always be of sound mind, exhibit good judgement, and report to work fit for duty.
• This position requires the ability to stand for long periods of time, walking on even and uneven surfaces, constant trunk rotation, frequent lifting (up to 25kg), pushing/pulling (up to 45kg), kneeling, crouching. Occasionally climb inclined stairs and ladders up to 4m. Hiking and moving around in an alpine environment.
• This role may operate hand tools.
• Custodians work in a remote, alpine environment, and at times independently.
• This role has potential exposure to industrial chemicals e.g., Fuels, grease, oil, ice melt
