Qualifications

Job Summary:

This position is based in Canada, and applicants must reside within the country.

This is a part-time role, requiring 20-29 hours per week, with preferred schedules starting between 1pm-8pm PST and ending between 9pm-12am PST. Priority work days are Friday and Saturday (high), Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday (medium), and Monday and Tuesday (low).

About the Team:

The Viewer Experience (VX) team is part of Disney Entertainment, responsible for support experiences across brands like Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+, Movies Anywhere, ABC, and more. As a Viewer Experience Advocate, you will provide exceptional support, resolve issues, assist with technical troubleshooting, and manage accounts and subscriptions, creating meaningful connections with viewers.

Work Environment:

This position reports to a Toronto, Ontario location. It is part-time, with flexible hours, open 365 days a year, including holidays, with 24-hour support. The role is temporary/recurring with a contract end date.

Applicants must have access to a reliable internet connection and a dedicated, safe, quiet workspace. The position requires staying in one place during shifts, except for scheduled breaks. Applicants must reside in British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, New Brunswick, or Nova Scotia.

Responsibilities:
  • Handle support contacts via phone, chat, email, and social media.
  • Engage with fans and viewers through scripted and unscripted interactions.
  • Assess needs, recommend solutions, and resolve issues, especially technical ones.
  • Document contacts to improve support and reduce friction.
  • Escalate issues or opportunities appropriately.
  • Create an entertaining, energetic, storytelling environment.
  • Maintain respect and positivity in all interactions.
  • Uphold Disney brand standards and company policies.
  • Assist with special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Previous customer service experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proper grammar and spelling.
  • Strong typing, phone, and computer navigation skills.
  • Knowledge of web browsers, email, messaging platforms, and digital streaming services.
  • Ability to receive feedback and adapt.
  • Positive attitude, flexibility, and multitasking ability.
  • Attention to detail and strong time management.
  • Accountability and ownership of issues.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Fluency in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Call center experience.
  • Basic internet troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, G-Suite, and customer service platforms like Salesforce or Zendesk.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
