Job Description:

NAVBLUE, an Airbus Company, is currently seeking a VIE Junior Buyer to join our Procurement team in Waterloo, Canada.

The Volunteer for International Experience (VIE) is a unique international program sponsored by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Employment, open to Airbus to offer young professionals the opportunity to have valuable paid work experience abroad in a technical or business function. The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria.

VIE Main Requirements:

  • European Union citizens (plus Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Monaco), graduates up to and including 28 years old

  • Have fulfilled military obligations for their country, if any

  • The contract duration of VIE is 24 months.

Job Summary:

The position holder will act as a Junior Buyer and be in charge of managing the purchase of various products and services for NAVBLUE, applying the Procurement process in terms of:

  • supplier selection & management,

  • contract negotiation & management,

  • internal customer support,

  • dashboard creation and maintenance

  • supporting the HO Procurement in reporting / presentation material.

The mission requires experience in a Procurement role, e.g. buyer or supporting role.

Main Responsibilities :

  • Contribute to proactive management of the relationship with internal customers to answer their needs.

  • Support internal customers through awareness sessions.

  • Support for suppliers creation.

  • Lead negotiations with suppliers, including sourcing/supplier selection, especially with Software editors.

  • Negotiate and set up contracts in line with strategic procurement policy and targets.

  • Commercial proposal request, review, negotiation and validation.

  • Support on the daily Procurement requests in the Sourcing tool.

  • Ensure operations are effective and efficient. Purchase Orders’ are issued according to the quality, time and operating cost expected by the business and are compliant to Procurement rules.

  • Ensure proper contract management, monitor contract spend & contractual KPIs, organise follow-up meetings with suppliers.

  • Track and solve suppliers blocked payments.

  • Performance management: Data and KPI analysis for the Procurement department. Dashboard creation and maintenance.

  • Support management in reporting / presentation material.

Education :

  • Successful completion of an Academic degree in Economics, Engineering or Management

Required Skills / Experience :

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French.

  • Solid academic knowledge about tender processes and contract management.

  • Previous experience in Procurement.

  • Advanced practice of Microsoft Office/Google Workspace.

  • Furthermore you are a good team player with customer focus, have excellent communication skills, are able to work independently and with remote teams.

Description du poste :

NAVBLUE ouvre un poste de VIE au sein de son département Achats.

Le VIE Acheteur Junior est responsable de la gestion des achats de divers produits et services pour NAVBLUE, en appliquant le processus d’achats pour:

  • la sélection et gestion des fournisseurs,

  • la négociation et gestion des contrats,

  • le support aux clients internes,

  • la création et la maintenance de tableaux de bord pour l’équipe Achats,

  • le soutien au manager de l’équipe Achats sur du support de présentation ou reporting.

La mission requiert une expérience dans une équipe Achats.

Principales responsabilités :

  • Contribuer à la gestion proactive de la relation avec les clients internes afin de répondre à leurs besoins.

  • Organiser des sessions de sensibilisation avec les parties prenantes, e.g. explication des processus Achats.

  • Supporter la création de fournisseurs.

  • Mener les négociations avec les fournisseurs, y compris la sélection des fournisseurs, principalement avec les éditeurs de logiciels.

  • Négocier et mettre en place des contrats en ligne avec la politique et les objectifs stratégiques des achats.

  • Demander, examiner, négocier et valider les propositions commerciales des fournisseurs.

  • Apporter un soutien aux demandes quotidiennes d’achats via l’outil de sourcing.

  • Garantir l'efficacité des opérations; Les commandes devant être envoyées conformément aux exigences de qualité, de délai et de coût opérationnel attendues, tout en respectant les règles achats.

  • Assurer une bonne gestion des contrats, suivre les dépenses contractuelles et les indicateurs (KPI), organiser des réunions de suivi avec les fournisseurs.

  • Suivre et résoudre les blocages de paiements fournisseurs.

  • Gérer la performance : création et maintien de tableaux de bord, analyse des données et des KPI pour le service achats.

  • Soutenir le management dans la création de rapports et de supports de présentation.

Formation :

  • Obtention du diplôme d’école de Commerce/Management/Supply Chain/Ingénieur ou discipline liée (ou équivalent).

Expériences et compétences requises :

  • Excellentes compétences en communication écrite et orale en anglais et en français.

  • Solides connaissances académiques des processus d'appels d'offres et de la gestion des contrats.

  • Expérience préalable dans les achats.

  • Maîtrise avancée de Microsoft Office et/ou Google Workspace.

  • Vous savez également travailler en équipe avec un sens du service/support client, vous avez d'excellentes compétences relationnelles/de communication et êtes capable de travailler de manière autonome et avec des collègues/clients à distance.
