Videographer, Virtual Programs and Services

Our purpose

The Saskatchewan Teachers’ Federation has advanced the interests of teachers and advocated for excellence in public education for more than 80 years. We are a professional organization representing over 13,500 teachers employed in PreK-12 schools across the province who are trusted and respected leaders and partners in education.

What you’ll do

Under the direction of the Senior Manager, Virtual Programs and Services, the videographer leads the internal and external video and photography projects of the Federation. In addition, this position supports the e-learning program in delivering online professional learning opportunities to teachers throughout the province. The videographer will storyboard, screencast, film, produce and edit promotional videos, on-camera interviews, informational videos, live-action footage/audio, instructional screencast videos, online workshop modules, and other video productions for the Federation. The videographer also photographs events and a variety of subjects, including headshots of staff.

What you’ll bring

  • 2 years of post-secondary education related to media production and 5-7 years of increasingly responsible experience.
  • Experience in applying digital technology and post-edit software packages; field assignments as a photographer/videographer; managing a studio space used for photography and videography.
  • Extensive visual storytelling experience across a range of creative and commercial video applications.
  • Demonstrated videography skills with a strong portfolio.
  • Advanced skills in video, photography, sound staging, recording and editing.
  • Copywriting and interviewing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Expert knowledge of video production best practices and procedures.
  • Demonstrated high work standards related to information accuracy, completeness and confidentiality.
  • Time management and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Highly effective interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Project management skills.
  • Mature and positive attitude.

What we offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $66,961.46 - $86,942.82, a 35-hour work week plus a full range of benefits, including extended health and dental care; retirement plan; group life insurance; 4 weeks starting vacation; sick leave; long-term disability and paid leave to deal with family, health and sickness and compassionate situations.
