Description

We are seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Video Sales Host to join our team. As a host, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our live selling shows on a live selling platform. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong understanding of sales, audience engagement, and brand strategy, with the autonomy to manage key aspects of the show, including merchandise selection, show flow, audience strategy, and post-show analysis. Hosts will exercise discretion and independent judgment in making key business decisions that impact operations, branding, and sales strategy. The role offers significant freedom to innovate and apply your creative and strategic thinking in a fast-paced, interactive environment.

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions

Show Planning and Execution:

  • Develop and manage content, flow, and format for live selling shows.
  • Select and curate merchandise based on market trends, audience preferences, and brand identity.
  • Coordinate all elements of the live shows, including product presentation, audience interaction, and promotional activities.

Audience Strategy and Engagement:

  • Create and implement strategies to engage and grow the audience during live shows.
  • Build relationships with buyers to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Analyze audience behavior and adjust show content or strategies to increase participation and sales.

Sales and Marketing Strategy:

  • Evaluate sales performance, identify trends, top products, and gather customer feedback.
  • Exercise independent judgment in determining sales strategies, such as promotional pricing and offers.
  • Develop creative marketing tactics to boost viewership and sales during live streams.

Product Curation:

  • Curate products aligned with the brand and target audience.
  • Collaborate with merchandising teams to ensure a compelling product offering.

Post-Show Reporting and Analysis:

  • Review sales data and feedback to assess performance and identify improvements.
  • Provide reports on metrics like sales volume and engagement.
  • Use insights to refine future shows and enhance quality.

Brand Building and Strategy:

  • Adjust branding strategies based on engagement and trends.
  • Develop initiatives to reinforce brand identity during shows.
  • Stay updated on market trends, competitors, and platform updates.

Qualifications

Experience:

  • Proven hosting or live streaming experience, preferably in e-commerce or entertainment.
  • Understanding of online sales, engagement, and live selling platforms (experience with Whatnot is a plus).

Skills:

  • Decision-making skills and independent judgment in sales and content strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills for diverse audiences.
  • Creative problem-solving and innovative sales and branding approaches.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Technical Proficiency:

  • Familiarity with streaming tools, social media, and e-commerce strategies.
  • Ability to work with analytics and reporting tools.
