Invites applications for the position of
Vice Principal Pool: Catholic Elementary School

The London region is one of the fastest growing areas in Canada, and the LDCSB is one of the fastest growing Catholic School Boards in the province. We are seeking a number of Catholic elementary school vice-principals to join our team. We are one of the largest employers in the region, with more than 4,500 staff working together to educate approximately 27,500 students. Currently, we have 44 elementary schools and 9 secondary schools.

Qualifications
  • Ontario School Principal's Certificate - Preferred, Part 1 completed or in progress as of the start date of an appointment, with Part 2 completed, in progress, or a commitment to take it, or requirements met to commence PQP Part 1 upon appointment.
  • Part 1 - Religious Education or Equivalent (Minimum Requirement). Specialist (preferred).
  • Part 1 - Special Education or Special Education for Administrators AQ (preferred).
  • Completion of our Leadership Series program or in progress (preferred). The LDCSB has revised the expectations for our Catholic Leadership Journey through our Leadership Series programs to ensure our leaders fully understand the level of expectation and accountability required to be a leader in our board.
  • Submission of a recent Self-Assessment Tool and a Commitment to Catholic Education or Aspiring Catholic Leaders, in consultation with your Principal (within 2 years of application).
Experience
  • A minimum of five (5) years recent teaching experience in the elementary panel is required.
  • Recent experience in Catholic leadership at the school and/or system level.

In accordance with Board Policy (G 2.4), Selection and Appointment of Principals and Vice Principals, qualified applicants are required to provide a resume of qualifications and experience, a cover letter, the Self-Assessment Tool, the Commitment to Catholic Education for Aspiring Leaders (found on the board website under Careers), and the names and contact information of two references, one of whom is your immediate supervisor. The Board reserves the right to limit interviews to those deemed ready for promotion.

Salary and Terms

Salary will be in accordance with the terms and conditions for Principals and Vice Principals; commensurate with experience. Successful candidates must be prepared to accept assignments at schools throughout the LDCSB.
