Vice-Principal, Operations
In this newly created role - reporting to the Principal and as a member of the senior leadership team – UCC’s Vice-Principal, Operations will define and deliver excellence in College operations. The Vice-Principal, Operations will strategically oversee and ensure the smooth running of non-academic operations across UCC’s Deer Park and Norval campuses, as well as leading the execution of the College’s Campus Master Plan. The Vice-Principal will provide executive leadership across Information and Innovation, Facilities and Grounds, Capital Projects, Operational Services (including food, housekeeping, security, arena, and facility management), Real Estate, Risk Management, Facility Rentals, and Summer Camps / Summer Life. This leader will work closely with the Vice-Principal, Finance, including collaborative leadership of UCC’s exceptional new 150,000-square-foot Rogers Building project, and will play a key role in supporting UCC’s mission and strategy.
With a degree in business administration, engineering, information technology, or a related discipline – or a commensurate combination of education and experience – the successful candidate will have a record of progressive senior leadership in one or more of operations, facilities, or technology management, preferably in an educational or other mission-driven organization, whether public, private, or non-profit. Collaborative, disciplined, and a proven strategic thinker, the Vice-Principal, Operations will be experienced working with professional teams on large-scale capital projects, managing delivery of the highest standards of facility, security, and food service, and staying current on advances in best practices in IT, cybersecurity, digital innovation, systems, sustainability, health and safety, risk management, and emergency preparedness.
A sophisticated systems thinker who balances long-term planning with day-to-day execution, the Vice-Principal, Operations will be an adaptive, forward-looking generalist, able to identify needs and bring the right partners to the table at the right time.
