An exciting opportunity awaits a senior leader who is passionate about delivering on TELUS’ customer first promise while also finding ways to innovate our operating model to improve customer experience and efficiency. This individual will collaborate with our senior leadership team and other key stakeholders to transform the supply chain — standardizing and simplifying processes, adopting leading edge inventory management techniques and creating a team culture that thrives on innovation.

At the heart of this role is driving seamless supply and demand interlock — ensuring that forecasts, inventory strategies, and build plans are fully aligned to deliver the right products, at the right time, in the most efficient way possible. Reporting to the Chief Procurement Officer, this role oversees a broad range of supply chain-related functions — including inventory planning, warehousing, transportation, reverse logistics, equipment refurbishment and customer shipment management. You will lead a team of supply chain and process design professionals dedicated to ensuring our internal and external customers receive the products at the right time, all while optimizing working capital and driving efficiency. In support to Consumer Solutions, Business Solutions, Chief Technology Office (Infrastructure) and Chief Information Office (systems), this role plays a critical part in shaping cross-functional collaboration and driving the success of the business.

As the Vice President, Supply Chain Operations, you will:

  • Lead, coach, develop, and inspire a diverse team of more than 200 supply chain professionals
  • Drive a One-TELUS & customers-first mindset across the supply chain organization, ensuring alignment with company objectives
  • Spearhead value-based transformation initiatives focused on standardization, simplification, and data-driven decision making
  • Develop and implement AI-supported strategies to enhance inventory planning, sales & operations planning, and demand forecasting
  • Oversee CAPEX alignment and support Go-to-Market strategies
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure and Business Solutions teams to ensure seamless interlock with build plans and customer installations
  • Optimize logistics operations, including forward and reverse logistics, warehouse operations, and third-party logistics partnerships
  • Drive continuous improvement in key metrics, including inventory turns, availability-to-promise, and on-time delivery
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and team member engagement

You're the missing piece of the puzzle, if you are:

  • A strategic thinker with a talent for translating complex supply chain challenges into actionable, results-driven plans
  • Recognized as an inspirational and authentic people leader who drives engagement and leads by example
  • Experienced in implementing transformational initiatives across a matrixed organisation
  • Skilled in managing end-to-end supply chain operations, including inventory management, demand planning, and logistics
  • Adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders at all levels
  • Committed to driving sustainable and socially responsible supply chain practices

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field is preferred; MBA is highly desirable
  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, with at least 10 years in senior leadership roles
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large portfolios with multi-Billion dollar inventories and over two million customer shipments annually
  • Proven track record of implementing successful large supply chain transformation initiatives
  • Strong understanding of emerging technologies and their application in supply chain operations
  • Experience in telecommunications or related industries is strongly recommended

Salary Range: $0-$0

Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan: 0%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. In addition, TELUS offers rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:

  • Comprehensive total rewards package highlighting competitive salary and bonus structures, minimum 3 weeks of vacation, and flexible benefits plan to meet the needs of you and your family

  • Generous company matched pension and share purchase programs
  • Opportunity to give back to communities in which we work, live and serve
