Position Overview

ARS Responds Canada is seeking an experienced and results-driven Vice-President, Sales and Business Development to lead the company's national sales and business development strategy across Canada.

Reporting to the executive leadership team, the Vice-President will be accountable for driving sustainable and profitable revenue growth, personally developing and winning major accounts, expanding market share, strengthening key client relationships, and leading a high-performing national business development team.

The Vice-President will work closely with Operations and Finance to ensure sales and growth strategies align with client demand, operational capacity, service standards, margin expectations, and financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a national sales and business development strategy focused on sustainable and profitable revenue growth, client acquisition, account growth, market share, and diversification.
  • Develop and expand strategic relationships with insurers, brokers, adjusting firms, property management organizations, and commercial clients, increasing penetration within existing accounts while securing new national and regional opportunities.
  • Build targeted commercial growth strategies across property management, REITs, facilities management, institutional, and large commercial clients to diversify the company's revenue base.
  • Develop structured strategies for major national accounts, including revenue targets, geographic penetration, retention, account growth, and executive-level relationship management.
  • Personally lead major account pursuits, client presentations, negotiations, commercial agreements, and other activities supporting new business and account growth.
  • Identify and evaluate new markets and segments in partnership with Operations and Finance, considering client demand, revenue potential, operational capacity, service standards, margin expectations, and financial viability.
  • Establish consistent national sales KPIs and accountability measures covering pipeline, conversion, forecasting, new business, account growth, client concentration, and individual and team performance.
  • Lead, coach, and develop regional business development teams, establishing clear expectations, performance measures, and accountability.
  • Monitor market conditions, competitor activity, and client developments to identify opportunities and account risks.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline reporting and forecasting, using sales analytics to improve conversion, accountability, forecast accuracy, and timely corrective action.
  • Represent ARS Responds Canada at industry conferences, trade associations, networking events, and client functions.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, customer service, and continuous improvement within the business development team.
Required Knowledge and Experience
  • 10–15 years of progressive sales and business development leadership experience, with direct experience in the property restoration industry.
  • Proven success personally winning major accounts and generating sustainable, profitable revenue, combined with experience leading and developing high-performing regional or national sales teams.
  • Proven experience developing business across multiple provinces, with established relationships among insurers, brokers, adjusters, property managers, and commercial clients.
  • Strong understanding of the property restoration, insurance, and property sectors, with a demonstrated ability to identify and develop new business opportunities.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute sales strategies, manage complex client relationships, and advance opportunities through the sales cycle.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience coaching, mentoring, and developing high-performing sales teams.
  • Experience partnering with Operations and Finance to align sales strategy, capacity planning, client commitments, margins, and financial objectives.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze market conditions, sales performance, pipeline activity, and revenue opportunities, and develop business cases for market expansion.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills.
  • Experience with CRM systems, pipeline management, opportunity qualification, sales analytics, and forecasting.
  • Ability to travel throughout Canada, as required.
