  • Lead, motivate, and mentor a national team of recruiters across multiple offices.
  • Expand relationships with insurance companies, brokerages, MGAs and adjusting firms.
  • Support recruiters in delivering exceptional service to both clients and candidates.
  • Expand relationships with insurance companies, brokerages, MGAs and adjusting firms across Canada and select U.S. markets.
  • Identify hiring trends in the insurance industry and position DGA as a premier recruitment partner.

DGA Careers is Canada’s leading insurance recruitment firm, serving the industry since 1985. With offices in Montreal, Toronto, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver, DGA partners with insurance companies, brokerages, MGAs and adjusting firms across Canada and select clients in the United States. About the Role

The Vice President, Recruitment & Client Solutions will lead DGA’s national recruitment team, driving both revenue growth and operational excellence. This individual will play a critical role in motivating, mentoring, and developing recruiters across the organization, ensuring each team member is positioned to perform at their highest level. The successful candidate will foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional growth while helping the team maximize their recruiting success. This role combines strategic leadership, business development, and hands‑on recruitment expertise, with a strong focus on building a high‑performing national team.

Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership & Performance Management
  • Lead, motivate, and mentor a national team of recruiters across multiple offices
  • Establish clear performance goals, expectations, and accountability measures
  • Coach recruiters to maximize productivity, client development, and placement success
  • Provide ongoing mentorship to help team members grow their skills and careers
  • Foster a positive, collaborative culture focused on professional excellence
  • Identify opportunities to improve recruiting processes and team effectiveness
  • Support recruiters in managing complex searches and client relationships

  • Expand relationships with insurance companies, brokerages, MGAs and adjusting firms
  • Develop new strategic client relationships across Canada and select U.S. markets
  • Identify emerging hiring trends within the insurance industry
  • Partner with senior industry leaders to position DGA as the premier recruitment partner
  • Recruitment Strategy & Execution
  • Support recruiters in delivering exceptional service to both clients and candidates
  • Ensure best practices in sourcing, candidate evaluation, and search execution
  • Maintain high standards of professionalism and client satisfaction
  • Talent Development & Growth

  • Help build the next generation of recruitment leaders within DGA
Qualifications
  • 10+ years experience in recruitment, executive search, or the insurance industry
  • Proven success in business development and client relationship management
  • Experience leading, mentoring, and motivating recruiting teams
  • A strong network within the Canadian insurance industry
  • A passion for developing people and building high‑performing teams
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong leadership presence
  • Experience recruiting within the insurance industry is strongly preferred.
