Job Description

WSP is looking for a senior executive to lead our Rail & Transit practice across Western Canada. In this role you will provide strategic, commercial, and operational leadership, oversee a growing team, manage a significant P&L portfolio, and drive sustainable growth aligned with WSP Canada’s strategic plan.

Responsibilities
  • Set and execute the strategic vision for Rail & Transit in Western Canada, aligned with national and global business objectives.
  • Lead and grow a high‑performing business, optimizing margins, utilization, cash flow, and long‑term profitability.
  • Strengthen trusted client relationships with public‑sector agencies, private partners, and industry organizations.
  • Champion business development efforts, positioning WSP for major rail and transit opportunities across Western Canada.
  • Provide executive oversight of project delivery, ensuring excellence in safety, quality, risk management, and financial performance.
  • Develop and inspire leaders and teams, fostering engagement, retention, and a strong succession pipeline.
  • Represent WSP publicly through industry events, client engagements, and thought‑leadership opportunities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related technical discipline.
  • 20+ years of professional experience, including senior leadership roles within the rail and transit industry.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex, multi‑regional businesses with full P&L accountability.
