Qualifications

YOUR CHALLENGES

As a member of the executive committee, the Vice President of Operations is responsible for defining and implementing operational strategies aimed at optimizing efficiency, improving performance, and supporting the company's growth.

This person will work closely with various teams to align operations with strategic objectives while ensuring operational excellence at all levels.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Collaborates with various teams to develop the company's long-term vision and objectives, aligning operational strategies with these priorities;
  • Acts as a strategic advisor on all matters related to distribution center operations, logistics, and supply chain management, including category management and the customer relations center;
  • Identifies and drives key initiatives to transform operations, support growth, and improve overall efficiency;
  • Develops enterprise-wide key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational effectiveness and ensures regular monitoring;
  • Supports operational transformation initiatives, including the integration of new systems, technological tools, or innovative approaches;
  • Promotes a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within teams;
  • Develops risk management strategies to minimize operational vulnerabilities, including those related to the supply chain and regulatory compliance;
  • Contributes to the development of a category management strategy that anticipates market trends, optimizes margins, and oversees the analysis of category performance data to adjust priorities and initiatives;
  • Strengthens strategic partnerships with key suppliers to ensure reliable and competitive sourcing;
  • Designs strategies to enhance the efficiency and productivity of distribution centers;
  • Ensures the smooth operation and efficiency of the customer relations center, focusing on customer satisfaction, loyalty, and continuous improvement of business processes.
YOUR SPECIFIC MEASURES OF SUCCESS - EXPECTED OUTCOMES
  • Productivity of various departments (LER);
  • Inventory turnover rate;
  • Adherence to project timelines and budgets;
  • Accident Frequency Rate less than 1.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • University degree in Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field. An MBA is a significant asset;
  • A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in operations management roles within the distribution sector;
  • Proven expertise in strategic supply chain and logistics management;
  • Expertise in product category management within distribution environments;
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to engage and inspire teams in a context of growth and transformation;
  • Demonstrated ability to think and act with both strategic and tactical agility;
  • Proven ability to analyze and interpret complex data to make strategic decisions;
  • Strong communication and organizational skills;
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is required for this position.
