The Vice President of Quality & Transformation is a key member of the team, directly reporting to the COO. They are responsible for overseeing the company’s global Quality strategy and programs, and driving transformation across the enterprise. This role leads the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality systems across all StandardAero sites, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead and evolve the global quality strategy aligned with corporate objectives and customer commitments.
  • Oversee the execution and performance of quality management systems (QMS), ensuring compliance with FAA, EASA, Transport Canada’s Civil Aviation, AS, AS9110, Nadcap accreditation, and other applicable standards.
  • Develop and lead a high-performing team of quality professionals across all business units and facilities.
  • Act as the principal liaison with regulatory agencies and key customers regarding quality performance and audits.
  • Provide governance and proactive oversight on process control of safety critical parts and critical special processes
  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective / preventive action processes to ensure consistent and sustainable quality improvements.
  • Champion a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement across all levels of the organization.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality performance, customer satisfaction, audit results, and compliance metrics.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Environmental Health Safety & Sustainability, Supply Chain, and other departments to embed quality into processes and decision-making.
  • Lead strategic quality initiatives, including digital transformation, automation, and predictive analytics to enhance quality performance and reduce risk.
  • Partner with the Chief Compliance Officer to drive systemic policy deployment & architecture.
  • Responsible for supporting the transformation of how the company tests, analyzes data, and supports our people, processes, and platforms.
  • Defines and leads enterprise-wide transformation strategies to align with long-term business objectives.
  • Partners with leaders across departments (IT, HR, Operations, Finance, to drive cohesive and integrated change.
  • Leads change management efforts to support adoption, reduce resistance, and build a culture of agility and innovation.
  • Communicates transformation goals, progress, and outcomes to internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in Quality leadership roles, with at least 5 years in a senior executive capacity within aerospace, MRO, or a similarly regulated industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of FAA, EASA, TCCA and international regulatory compliance frameworks.
  • Proven success in building and leading enterprise-wide quality systems and high-performing teams.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Preferred Characteristics :

  • Certification(s) in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
