Job description

We are seeking a hands-on, execution-driven Vice President of Product to lead and deliver ClearBlue Markets’ product vision and roadmap. Reporting directly to the CTO, this role demands a strong builder mindset—someone who thrives on executing directly, getting into the details, and driving initiatives forward, not just delegating.

You will be deeply embedded in product execution, working closely with engineering, design, client success, and policy teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions. You will translate market insights and client needs into real products, with an intense focus on onboarding, engagement, continuous feedback integration, and client delight.

This is not a purely strategic or visionary role : while you will think strategically and influence the executive team with confidence, the real success in this position comes from being able to personally lead execution, get your hands dirty, and own product delivery end-to-end.

You will play a critical role in ensuring ClearBlue continues to innovate and lead in the carbon markets, delivering products that clients love and that drive our mission forward.

Key Responsibilities :

Strategy, Alignment, and Execution

  • Clarify and Align Vision : Actively engage with the CTO, CEO, and leadership to refine and align the product vision and strategic priorities.
  • Navigate Strategic Discussions : Contribute confidently and thoughtfully in senior leadership debates; not afraid to challenge or push back when needed.
  • Execute Relentlessly : Personally drive product initiatives forward—writing specs, validating user needs, prioritizing roadmaps, testing releases.

Client-Centric Product Development

  • Architect and continuously refine a world-class client onboarding journey that accelerates early success.
  • Build structured, scalable feedback loops to inform product evolution based on real-world client engagement.
  • Foster direct client relationships to validate hypotheses and inform roadmap decisions.
  • Client-obsessed : obsessed with understanding how users consume data, what insights they need, and how to create stickiness and engagement in subscription products.

Small Team Leadership

  • Lead and coach a small, agile team (Product Owner, BA, UI / UX) through rapid, high-impact delivery cycles.
  • Build a high-ownership, low-politics, results-first culture within the product group.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner tightly with Engineering, Client Success, and Commercial teams to deliver seamless client experiences.
  • Advocate for product priorities while balancing technical, operational, and market constraints.
  • Strong understanding of data products : familiar with data sourcing, structuring, visualization, and API or platform delivery to end clients; comfortable shaping products where data is the core value.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 8–12+ years of product leadership experience, ideally building and scaling B2B subscription data products (SaaS, marketplaces, carbon / sustainability, or fintech a plus).
  • Proven track record of taking products from ideation to market and productizing complex services into scalable platforms.
  • Deep experience with data products : sourcing, structuring, visualizing, and delivering data as the core value proposition.
  • Hands-on execution focus : writes specs, conducts discovery, validates data structures, QA’s releases, doesn’t wait for others to act.
  • Confident communicator : engages in senior leadership debates, challenges assumptions constructively, and aligns stakeholders around clear priorities.
  • Obsessed with client success : understands how to build sticky, valuable subscription relationships over time.
  • Technically fluent : strong collaboration with engineering on API design, data architecture, scalability, and reliability.
  • Strong business acumen : understands pricing, packaging, and monetization strategies for subscription products.

Why Join Us?

  • Shape the future of carbon markets and sustainability.
  • Be part of a fast-growing, entrepreneurial company with global ambition.
  • Competitive salary, performance-based incentives, and benefits.
