Job description

At Omegro, we believe that the strength of our portfolio is a direct reflection of our people. As part of a global ecosystem (CSU:TSX), we offer the stability of a permanent home combined with the agility of a decentralized network. We are looking for experts who are passionate about operational excellence and eager to contribute to a culture that prioritizes professional development, flexible collaboration, and the shared success of our global network of businesses.

Position Overview:

The VP of Product will own the strategy, development and commercialization of product and platform investments across the Omegro portfolio. These investments leverage the collective knowledge, data and expertise of our businesses to deliver differentiated capabilities and insights that create value for both our businesses and their customers.

The role is accountable for turning strategic opportunities into commercially successful products and capabilities that deliver measurable value across the portfolio.

Our ideal candidate is a commercial leader with deep data platform and enterprise software credibility. They will be comfortable navigating complex stakeholder, data and governance challenges, building trust across autonomous businesses and driving adoption through demonstrated value.

Key responsibilities:
Strategy, Commercial Ownership and Growth
  • Define and execute the strategy for portfolio-level product and platform investments.
  • Identify opportunities to create differentiated products, capabilities and insights that drive value across multiple businesses and their customers.
  • Prioritize the delivery of measurable business outcomes by proving high-value use cases end-to-end before scaling broader platform and product capabilities.
  • Own the P&L, budget and resourcing plan for strategic product and platform investments.
  • Develop business cases, investment frameworks and stage-gated funding models linked to measurable outcomes.
  • Build alignment across business leaders, technical teams and portfolio stakeholders by clearly articulating the value proposition, commercial impact and measurable outcomes of strategic initiatives.
  • Partner with corporate development, portfolio leadership, M&A and integration teams to identify, communicate and accelerate value creation opportunities, including post-acquisition.
  • Maintain clear boundaries around portfolio-level products, platforms and capabilities, ensuring they strengthen and amplify existing businesses rather than compete with them.
Execution and Delivery
  • Uncover, analyze and define differentiated insights and actionable intelligence that represent significant commercial value for businesses and their customers.
  • Deliver robust, differentiated and reusable solutions that can be embedded within products and services across the portfolio.
  • Set and meet aggressive delivery timeframes through an AI-first approach that accelerates innovation and competitive advantage.
  • Promote a flexible, vendor-agnostic technology strategy, making disciplined build-versus-buy decisions that maximize value, accelerate delivery and avoid unnecessary vendor dependence.
  • Run integrated delivery plans, risk management and reporting rhythms with clear stage gates and accountability.
Collective Intelligence, Data Strategy and Governance
  • Define and lead the strategy for capturing and applying collective intelligence across the portfolio.
  • Build shared data assets that enable insight, innovation and AI-enabled solutions.
  • Oversee the governance, trust and collaboration frameworks required to create sustained value from shared portfolio intelligence.
  • Partner with legal and business stakeholders to navigate data rights, customer contracts and jurisdictional requirements.
  • Partner with technology, security and compliance leaders to ensure data platforms, products and AI capabilities meet security, privacy, residency and regulatory requirements.
Required skills and experience:
  • Senior general management or product leadership with P&L accountability, ideally in B2B software, data platforms or industrial / asset-intensive sectors.
  • Demonstrable experience quantifying product/market fit through active engagement with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Hands-on credibility in data engineering, lake house architecture, ontology or canonical data modelling and applied ML, including classical predictive maintenance methods.
  • Track record of taking a data or AI platform from concept to production with paying customers.
  • Experience negotiating data rights, consent and privacy across multiple legal entities and jurisdictions.
  • Ability to lead through influence across autonomous business units that are not obliged to participate.
  • Commercial judgement to design funding, pricing and value-sharing models.
  • Familiarity with EAM, CMMS or APM domains and vertical SaaS business models is highly desirable.
Requirements:
  • The role can be performed via hybrid or remote in Toronto (or greater surrounding area) requiring you to have the right to work, and additionally the ability to travel domestically and internationally.
Values:

These values are important to us in the Omegro Portfolio:

  • Humble: At Omegro, we define success collectively and work without ego. We share credit and put the company and team before ourselves. We believe in being learn-it-alls rather than know-it-alls, and we avoid any form of arrogance or ego-driven behaviour.
  • Hungry: We are tenacious and personally accountable, always playing to win and learn. We believe in hard work and continuous improvement, constantly seeking more and striving for excellence. Our intrinsic motivation drives us to achieve high standards and always aim for better.
  • Smart: We are great listeners and have the right people on the bus. We embrace a growth mindset, ask questions, read the room, and view feedback as a gift. We make data-driven decisions and are self-aware, ensuring that we can look back and be proud of our actions.

We welcome applicants with a wide range of experiences and perspectives. We hire based on qualifications and job-related criteria and do not discriminate against legally protected grounds. Accommodations are available throughout the recruitment process upon request.
