Gray Collection is looking for a Vice President of Operations to lead and optimize the performance of its properties in Montreal and Ottawa. Your Mission

You will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence and profitability across the properties while embodying and reinforcing Gray Collection's distinctive identity. As a key leader, you will play a strategic role in the evolution of the group, shaping exceptional experiences for our guests and guiding teams toward ever-higher standards.

Main Responsibilities

  • Vision and Development of Operations
  • Define and implement innovative strategies to ensure an exceptional guest experience and optimize performance.
  • Oversee all operational activities, ensuring alignment with the identity and standards of Gray Collection.
  • Anticipate market trends to stay ahead of the competition.
  • Operational Excellence and Performance Management
  • Maintain a rigorous follow-up of key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement efficient processes to maximize service quality and profitability.
  • Lead projects for modernization, openings, and renovations of properties.
  • Leadership and Talent Development
  • Guide and inspire property management teams to foster their development and engagement.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous learning and accountability.
  • Identify and attract strategic talent to strengthen internal expertise.
  • Financial Management and Resource Optimization
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance of operational departments, ensuring alignment with the group's financial goals.
  • Optimize resource allocation for maximum efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities to increase revenue and control costs.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with various departments (marketing, finance, HR) to ensure smooth and cohesive management.
  • Establish and maintain strategic relationships with key partners and stakeholders.

Desired Profile

  • Proven experience in hotel and/or restaurant operations management in a high-end environment, with a strong understanding of the culinary sector and market trends.
  • Natural leadership with the ability to inspire and create a positive impact on both teams and guests, ensuring memorable experiences and cultivating a collaborative and enjoyable work environment.
  • An approach focused on performance, innovation, and passion for hospitality, with a strong entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to motivate teams to achieve exceptional results.
  • Strong analytical skills, capable of identifying trends from data and making informed decisions to optimize performance and ensure operational excellence.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting the company’s long-term objectives and executing flawlessly.
  • Strong financial management skills, including budget analysis, forecasting, and cost optimization, while maintaining high standards of quality.
  • A degree in hotel management, business administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • Bilingual in French and English is required to effectively work with international clients and partners.
