Summary of Role

The VP of Marketing will oversee the strategic planning, development, and execution of our client’s marketing and advertising initiatives. This role is essential in ensuring that marketing efforts support the company’s growth goals, enhance customer engagement, and strengthen brand reputation. The VP of Marketing will work closely with senior leadership to define long-term goals and ensure the company’s marketing is at the forefront of industry trends and customer expectations.

Core Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership – Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with company objectives, growth targets, and market opportunities. Analyze market trends and competitive positioning to adjust marketing strategies as needed. Work closely with executive leadership to set marketing goals, KPIs, and budgets.

• Brand and Positioning – Lead brand positioning efforts to ensure a consistent, compelling brand identity across all channels. Oversee brand management, including visual identity, messaging, and the customer experience. Drive initiatives to increase brand awareness, relevance, and trust in target markets.

• Demand Generation and Customer Acquisition – Develop and oversee multi-channel demand generation strategies to drive customer acquisition and revenue growth. Implement strategies for digital marketing, including SEO, SEM, content marketing, email, social media, and more. Collaborate with the Sales team to align marketing and sales strategies, optimize lead generation, and ensure high-quality lead flow.

• Product Marketing – Lead go-to-market strategies for new products, including positioning, messaging, and launch plans.

• Collaborate with Product and Sales teams to define customer needs, market insights, and competitive intelligence. Ensure product value propositions resonate with target audiences and meet their needs.

• Customer Insights and Analytics – Oversee customer insights, market research, and analytics to understand customer behavior and trends. Use data to measure the effectiveness of marketing efforts, ROI, and areas for improvement. Implement a data-driven approach to optimize campaigns, improve marketing effectiveness, and guide decision-making.

• Team Leadership and Development – Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing marketing team across various disciplines, such as digital, content, creative, and product marketing. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and professional development within the marketing team. Establish and maintain efficient processes and communication within the team and with other departments.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience – 10+ years of experience in marketing, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, preferably in a B2B or B2C environment. Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies that drive business growth. Experience in digital marketing, demand generation, brand management, and customer acquisition.

• Strategic Thinking – ability to think creatively and strategically, with a focus on results and performance

• Analytical Skills – Strong ability to analyze data, interpret results and make data driven decisions.

• Communication – Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.

• Adaptability – comfortable in a fast paced, evolving environment. Skilled in navigating complex challenges.

• Technical Skills – proficiency w/ marketing automation platforms, CRM and digital analytics tools.
