Executrade is seeking a Vice President, Information Technology to lead the organization’s technology strategy, security, and digital transformation. You will shape the enterprise roadmap, oversee the IT function, and manage vendors to deliver measurable business value.

The organization has made significant investments in enterprise systems, technology, and business transformation and is now focused on advancing the next stage of its digital evolution. Reporting to a senior executive leader, this role offers the opportunity to shape enterprise technology strategy, strengthen data and cybersecurity capabilities, lead artificial intelligence initiatives, and support business growth through technology, innovation, and systems thinking. The successful candidate will play a critical role in connecting people, processes, data, technology, and business outcomes across a complex and evolving organization.
As the Vice President, Information Technology, you will serve as the organization's senior-most technology leader, accountable for the strategy, security, performance, and continued evolution of the systems, data, and digital capabilities that support the business. You will lead enterprise technology initiatives, oversee the internal IT function, manage key technology partners, and ensure technology investments deliver measurable business value.
Contribute technology, data, cybersecurity, and innovation perspectives to enterprise planning and strategic decision-making. Apply systems thinking to evaluate the impact of technology decisions across business units, processes, data flows, risks, and customer outcomes. Identify opportunities to improve scalability, efficiency, integration, and organizational performance. Support growth initiatives, business expansion, and future strategic opportunities through technology leadership.
Develop, execute, and continuously evolve a multi-year enterprise technology roadmap aligned with organizational priorities. Lead digital transformation initiatives that simplify work, improve integration, automate processes, and enhance business performance. Establish governance practices for technology investments, prioritization, funding, and benefits realization. Drive technology change management, adoption, and organizational readiness for new systems and capabilities.
Serve as the executive owner of the organization's enterprise application ecosystem and integration architecture. Oversee the lifecycle, integration, optimization, and governance of enterprise platforms and business-critical systems. Establish enterprise architecture principles that support scalability, reliability, interoperability, and security. Lead major software selection, implementation, optimization, and retirement initiatives from planning through stabilization.
Develop and lead the organization's enterprise artificial intelligence strategy and governance framework. Identify practical, high-value opportunities for AI, advanced analytics, and automation across the business. Establish enterprise data governance standards, including data ownership, stewardship, quality, and reporting practices. Strengthen reporting and analytics capabilities to support informed decision-making throughout the organization.
Provide executive leadership for cybersecurity, information security governance, privacy, and technology risk management. Oversee policies, controls, monitoring, identity and access management, backup, disaster recovery, and incident response practices. Maintain technology and cybersecurity risk mitigation programs and business continuity plans. Communicate technology, security, privacy, and vendor risks to Executive leadership in clear business terms.
Act as the executive point of accountability for outsourced technology service providers and strategic technology vendors. Define service expectations, governance practices, key performance metrics, and escalation processes. Lead contract negotiations, renewals, major technology purchases, and vendor due diligence activities. Ensure technology partners deliver strong service, accountability, security, and value.
Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing IT team. Balance operational reliability with strategic initiatives, project delivery, governance, and innovation. Support workforce development through coaching, succession planning, training, and professional development initiatives. Foster a collaborative, service-oriented, and business-minded team culture.
Develop and manage annual technology operating and capital budgets. Build business cases that support technology investments and strategic initiatives. Monitor project performance, technology spending, implementation outcomes, and return on investment. Ensure initiatives are delivered with clear governance, accountability, and measurable success criteria.
Serve as the primary technology advisor to Executive leadership and business stakeholders. Translate business needs into technology, process, data, and change solutions. Build alignment across departments and facilitate shared ownership of enterprise initiatives. Promote adoption of new capabilities through communication, training, and stakeholder engagement.
To succeed in this role, candidates should demonstrate the following:
Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Equivalent experience will be considered.
Strong expertise in enterprise systems, integration architecture, digital transformation, cybersecurity, cloud technologies, data governance, automation, reporting, and artificial intelligence. Experience overseeing enterprise technology ecosystems, application portfolios, and complex technology environments. Knowledge of enterprise governance frameworks, technology risk management, vendor management, and business continuity practices. Relevant certifications such as PMP, CISSP, CISM, COBIT, ITIL, or recognized AI governance credentials are considered assets.
