Position Title: Vice President, Growth & Distribution

Location: Remote / Hybrid

Reports To: Managing Director

Compensation: Market-driven deferred salary, performance-linked incentives, and equity participation

Search Mandate: Yorktown Search Partners is conducting a confidential executive search on behalf of a high-growth digital media and investment platform.

Role Overview

Yorktown Search Partners has been retained to identify a Vice President of Growth & Distribution for a confidential client scaling a portfolio of owned and operated digital media brands. These include fast-growing newsletters, video-first content properties, and niche verticals with robust monetization potential.

This role is ideal for a performance-obsessed growth leader with strong commercial acumen and deep expertise across digital marketing, audience development, and monetization. You will architect and execute the company's go-to-market and distribution strategy, driving audience scale, revenue growth, and cross-platform brand presence.

Compensation includes a market-driven deferred salary, equity participation, and performance-based incentives aligned with firm-wide value creation.

Key Responsibilities

Growth Strategy & Execution

  • Design and implement scalable audience growth strategies across SEO, paid acquisition, referral loops, and social engagement
  • Optimize key metrics including CAC, LTV, conversion, retention, and subscriber growth
  • Drive experimentation across marketing channels to identify scalable acquisition paths for each digital brand


Distribution & Monetization

  • Build and scale partnerships with media networks, syndication platforms, affiliate programs, and sponsorship ecosystems
  • Oversee monetization strategies including direct advertising, affiliate revenue, sponsorships, and e-commerce
  • Leverage analytics to inform audience development, editorial planning, and monetization funnel design


Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with editorial and content teams to align growth strategies with brand voice and audience needs
  • Collaborate with product and data teams to build internal dashboards, optimize funnels, and test new initiatives
  • Act as a growth thought partner to leadership and portfolio company operators, sharing best practices and growth insights


What You Bring

  • 5-10 years of experience in growth marketing, digital media, or direct-to-consumer brand development
  • Demonstrated ability to build and monetize audiences across email, video, social, or multi-platform channels
  • Expertise in performance media platforms including Meta Ads, Google Ads, TikTok, YouTube, and programmatic tools
  • Proficiency in analytics platforms, growth stack tools, and A/B testing frameworks
  • Entrepreneurial, action-oriented mindset with the ability to thrive in a high-autonomy, high-expectation environment
  • Experience in media, content, or commerce startups is a strong plus
