Position: Vice President, Global HR Technology
Purpose
Leads and oversees the Engineering function for Global HR to ensure the execution of business strategies, plans, and initiatives in compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures. Drives the strategic evolution of the Global HR Technology product ecosystem to the target state. Acts as the Global Product Owner for HR technology, even where day-to-day oversight is not fully centralized.
Accountabilities
- Global Product Ownership: Provides guidance and oversight for HR technology solutions across Scotiabank, aiming to unify platforms. Owns the HR Technology strategy and roadmap, working towards a single global HR product suite.
- Client and Stakeholder Engagement: Fosters a client-focused culture within the team to deepen relationships and leverage broader bank systems and knowledge, aligning with operational and strategic priorities.
- Project Delivery: Manages strategic projects from conception to completion, including solution design, funding, resourcing, delivery, and support.
- Operations and Risk Management: Ensures excellence in GHRT operations, managing risks, maintaining reliability, security, and compliance with security policies.
- Vendor and Data Management: Manages vendor relationships and contracts, ensuring procurement and third-party risk standards are met. Oversees HR data assets, ensuring compliance with data standards and governance.
- Budget and Controls: Meets budget and project targets, maintaining effective controls to meet operational, regulatory, and conduct risks.
- Team and Culture: Builds a high-performance environment, attracting and developing talent, fostering inclusion, and managing succession planning.
Education / Experience
- Degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or applied math.
- 10+ years in IT or HRIS/HRTMS management, or HR operations management.
- Fluency in Spanish is an asset.
Working Conditions
Standard office environment; occasional non-standard hours and limited travel.
