About the Team & Business Line:

About You:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or economics.
  • Professional accounting designation required.
  • 7+ years of public/private accounting experience.
  • 5+ years of real estate and/or private equity experience.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS.
  • Experience with fair value reporting for real estate investments and debt obligations.
  • Knowledge of Real Estate and Private Equity Fund Accounting.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of REIT structures and testing.
  • Experience in Performance Reporting – NCREIF and GIPS(AIMR).
  • Project management skills with attention to detail and multi-tasking ability.
  • Experience with real estate/private equity accounting systems (Yardi, MRI, Investran, etc.) is preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Your Role:

The Vice President ensures accurate and timely accounting services for real asset funds and manages client relationships per SLAs, procedures, and standards. Responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing quarterly/monthly reports and working papers (cash, reconciliations, expense accruals, dividends, interest, capital activity, partner allocations, trial balances, financial statements).
  • Managing client relationships, inquiries, and meetings.
  • Interacting with senior management and clients.
  • Improving procedures for efficiency.
  • Ensuring compliance with audit standards and coordinating audits.
  • Liaising with clients on accounting and administrative issues.
  • Providing technical accounting knowledge.
  • Reviewing partnership agreements and fund structures.
  • Preparing client service plans and budgets.
  • Coordinating with property management companies.

Team Management:

  • Reviewing team work and providing feedback.
  • Monitoring team performance and profitability.
  • Planning resources, recruiting, coaching, and developing team members.
  • Managing client setup and transitions.
  • Reporting to senior management on issues and metrics.
  • Implementing training initiatives.
