The Vice President, Finance and Administration, holds a pivotal leadership role overseeing Financial Services, Facilities Management, Information Technology Services, Human Resources, Internal Audit, Event and Theatre Services and Business and Retail Services. Reporting directly to the President and Vice Chancellor and serving on the Executive Leadership Team, this position ensures MRU’s long-term financial stability, operational efficiency, and strategic alignment. Responsibilities include providing strategic advice to the President and Board of Governors, overseeing financial planning and serving as a liaison with governmental bodies and external partners.

The Vice President, Finance and Administration will provide proactive leadership in financial and administrative operations, championing comprehensive budgeting practices, risk mitigation strategies, and rigorous compliance with regulatory and audit standards. This executive will foster strategic engagement and robust relationships with internal stakeholders, as well as external community and governmental partners, to advance institutional objectives and community collaboration.

Candidates should hold a relevant undergraduate degree, which could be complimented either by an MBA or a professional accounting designation (CPA or CFA).The candidate should have substantial leadership experience in financial or administrative roles within public-sector or higher education environments. Demonstrated expertise in transformational leadership, strategic financial management, risk assessment, and exceptional communication skills is required.
