Overview

Vice President, Finance – Canada at TK Elevator will lead the financial strategy and operations for the Canadian business, partnering with the President & CEO, Canada and North American & local leadership team members to drive revenue growth, maintain EBITDA margin rates, and align with global priorities. Based in Toronto (Scarborough location), this role is responsible for transforming the finance function through best-in-class practices in FP&A, forecasting, compliance, and cash flow management, while preparing the organization for potential IPO readiness. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership in financial transformation within complex, matrixed, B2B environments and excels in building high-performing teams, optimizing cost structures, and driving cross-functional collaboration to support long-term business success.

Responsibilities

Strategic & Financial Leadership

  • Develop and execute the financial vision and strategy for Canada, ensuring alignment with North American and Global objectives and operational priorities
  • Partner closely with the President & CEO, Canada to achieve revenue growth and maintain EBITDA margins
  • Collaborate with the NA Finance Leader to ensure alignment with North American financial strategies, standards and guidelines
  • Implement value creation programs that support business transformation, drive effectiveness & efficiency
  • Prepare the organization for a potential IPO, ensuring readiness with financial systems, compliance and reporting frameworks

Operational Excellence

  • Transform the finance function by implementing best-in-class practices across FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, tax and FX management
  • Lead collaboration with business line and field stakeholders to improve organizational efficiency and drive growth
  • Lead optimization efforts building and executing on a multi-year plan to align costs with investment targets and industry best practices
  • Ensure robust cash flow management by diagnosing current processes, identifying gaps, and implementing actionable improvements

Team Development & Leadership

  • Build and mentor a high-performing Canada finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, transparency, and innovation
  • Assess, structure and develop talent to align with strategic goals
  • Cultivate high-potential talent and develop viable succession plans

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate effectively with TK Elevator’s NA and Global Finance leadership, sharing insights and ensuring adherence to corporate standards and initiatives
  • Build strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders, ensuring alignment on financial priorities and objectives

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Operate effectively within a matrix organizational structure, ensuring strong coordination with North America Finance and Operational teams
  • Act as a strategic partner to functional leaders, providing actionable insights and driving data-driven decision-making
Qualifications
  • University degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance; CPA designation is required
  • Minimum of 10 years of accounting, reporting and managerial / leadership experience
  • Track record of proven leadership and financial acumen that demonstrates ability to work with senior leadership to gain insight on how to improve both operational and financial performance
  • Effective leadership skills, with a strong focus on mentoring and motivating an employee base of professionals
  • Able to identify key issues; creatively and strategically overcome internal and external challenges or obstacles
  • Sound understanding of risk management
  • Knowledge of HR policies, practices, and procedures
  • Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
